Our Social Mixers are a fantastic way to spend a few hours hanging out and playing tennis. Generally played on holidays, social tennis offers an opportunity to play tennis competitively, but is still accessible to the newer player.

 

Established round robin socials include the Memorial Day Mixer, the 4th of July Social and the Wooden Racquet Classic. Parent/Child Mixers and Challenge Ladders are other events. Socials are listed on the calendar and in the newsletter.

 

Divide and Conquer

Players are assigned to courts and doubles partners. Higher ranked players go to the higher numbered courts, lower ranked players start at the lower numbered courts. After the first set, the winning players split and move to a lower numbered court and the losing players split and move to a higher numbered court. Play continues until time is called or the event is over. The players who won on the lowest numbered court are "Champs of the Courts". Prizes, if any, may be awarded to the Champs, the participant with the most wins and/or the participant with the most aces. Divide and conquer is a fast way to get to play with many different players.
