Hodge, who is both USPTR and USPTA certified, is the Tennis Manager/Head Pro for the City of Macon’s Tennis Programs. He oversees the activities at the both John Drew Smith and Tattnall Square Tennis Centers. Hodge received the Community Service Award for Georgia District and Southern Section. He is a member of the Multi-Cultural Committee and has chaired the School’s Program for Georgia.

Hodge was Employee of the Year for the City of Macon, 2000. As a tennis player, Carl was ranked #1 in doubles in both Georgia and the Southern Section of the United States Tennis Association, and top 5 nationally in the Men's 30 Doubles. He has over ten state doubles titles. Hodge attended Morehouse College and St. Leo College and holds a B.A. in Accounting.
